Congratulations to our 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year, Shelbee Goetzinger!
Shelbee Goetzinger is an educator who currently teaches 6th grade English Language Arts at Alma Martinez Intermediate School in Mansfield, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University. Shelbee's passion for teaching is rooted in her belief that every student deserves a learning environment where they feel valued and empowered. She is committed to fostering a classroom culture that emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Shelbee utilizes a variety of interactive and student-centered activities to engage her students, encouraging them to work together and learn from one another. She creates a space where students can freely make mistakes, understanding that these are crucial opportunities for growth. Throughout her career, Shelbee has taken pride in building strong relationships with her students, ensuring that they feel supported both academically and emotionally. She strives to create a classroom where all students feel welcome and confident in their abilities, promoting an atmosphere of inclusivity and mutual respect. Shelbee is continually working to enhance her teaching practices through professional development, always seeking new ways to improve the educational experience for her students.
